Here is where you will find the monthly wellness journals. The wellness journals were previously known as "Johnny Journals." You may have seen them in the bathrooms at our facilities. Within each wellness journal are tips to keeping a healthier lifestyle, recipes and other updates in the Grande wellness world. Let us know if you have any questions or comments.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Wilhelm Tell Festival – Friday-Saturday, September 1-3 – New Glarus, WI

A New Glarus Labor Day tradition - 78th anniversary. Children's Lantern parade Friday, Pageant at the Tell Grounds, Yodel Contest downtown on Saturday. Sunday - book sale at New Glarus Village Hall, Art in the Park art show from 9 - 4, Pageant at 1 pm at the Tell Grounds.

Chili Chase Fun Run/Walk

Saturday, September 9 – Edgerton, WI

The Chili Chase is a fun run and walk that serves as the official kickoff for the annual, daylong Chilimania festival in downtown Edgerton, WI. The Chili Chase is a fundraising event, with all proceeds from entry fees donated back to the community via the Chilimania Scholarship & Community Donations Fund. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities — and their four-legged friends, who are invited to compete to become the official Chilimania 2017 Mascot — are encouraged to participate. New for 2017, you can choose between a 5K or 10K route — registration costs are the same. Back by popular demand, the 2017 Chili Chase will again be chip-timed by Tortoise & Hare Timing Co., who also will handle the online registration process. All competitors (especially pets) are encouraged to dress up in chili-themed costumes to add to the festive atmosphere. Plus, participate in fun games and challenges and you could win some Chili Gear!

Fondue Fest - Saturday, September 9 – 9am – 5pm

Fond du Lac, WI

One of Fond du Lac's most anticipated annual events, the 11th annual Fondue Fest is sure to provide fun for the whole family. Fondue Fest includes three music stages, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Splash & Dash 5K, Fashion Shows from Edith's Bridal, and a Kids Zone full of bounce houses, a rock wall, balloon animals and other great attractions. More than 200 vendors come out for the day to sell food, produce, crafts, or artisan work. Cheese and chocolate fondue are provided by the culinary arts program of Moraine Park Technical College and are served next to Fond du Lac's world famous giant fondue pot! When Fondue Fest wraps up, attendees can continue the fun at the THELMA Sadoff Center for the Arts Fondue Fest Finale on Sheboygan Street until 9 p.m.

Horicon Bank Run/Walk for Wellness 5K

Saturday, September 16 – 8:30am – Horicon, WI

Join us for a fun, family-friendly 5K in Lakeside Park! All proceeds benefit the local programs of the National Alliance on Mental Illness - NAMI Fond du Lac! $100 cash prizes will be given to the top male and top female participants!

Holy Hill Art & Farm Market – Hubertus, WI

Saturday – Sunday, September 16-17 – 9am-4pm

We'll present to you the treasures of our local artists, farmers and collectors. Come meet our Market Folks - See their work and talk with them about custom work. Go back to the basics... Sit and enjoy coffee, hot sandwiches & soup, bakery and other refreshments. Check out our New Grainery Bar - Bloody Mary’s and Sangrias! Don Reilly 5K/10K – 8:00am

Saturday, September 23 – Beaver Dam, WI

The Don Reilly Race the Parks Cardiac Run/Walk is now in its 11th year of honoring the memory of Don Reilly, increasing awareness of heart disease and raising funds for heart-related community programs. The 11th Annual Don Reilly Cardiac Run/Walk will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, Sept. 23 beginning at 8 a.m. by the family of Don Reilly. Registration begins at 7 a.m. There will be a 10K/5K run, a 5K walk and a Kids Fun Run. The start and finish of the adult events will be at Swan City Park, South University Avenue in Beaver Dam, and the Kids Fun Run will go through the Park. The registration fee through Aug. 19 is $35 while the Kids Fun Run is $15. After Aug. 19, the race fee is $40. The importance of preventing and managing heart disease is a cause dear to the family of Don Reilly, and all proceeds of the event will benefit the Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Foundation, Inc. Automated External Defibrillator and Cardiac Rehab funds. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers in the 10k and 5k runs and finisher medals will be given to all 10k and 5k runners and 5k walkers. There is no age limit, but bikes, roller blades, "heelies," and skateboards will not be permitted. Complimentary refreshments will be available for participants after the race.

Portage Color Run Family Course & 5K – Portage, WI

Saturday, September 23 – 8:30am-10:30am

John Muir PTC is sponsoring our 3rd annual Portage Color Run 5K and Family Event on Saturday, Sept. 23. All are welcome to participate! Entry fee is $30/person. Granite City Run – Saturday, October 14 – Montello, WI

10K, 5K, 1M Run & Kids Run

For the 6th year, the Montello Rotary Club is proud to present the Granite City Run, a family friendly event that has something for everyone.  There are 10K and 5K runs that are professionally chip timed with awards for the top finishers.  There is also an untimed 5K walk for all as well as two different kids runs, a 1 mile run and a 1/4 mile run for the little ones. Register Today!  The price for the kid's runs is $5 a child and will not go up.  The other events are $30 a person through September 28th, after that they will go up so do it today.
