Group Exercise Class Schedule – December
Class Descriptions
Basic Strength & Cardio: This class keeps the strength and cardio moves pure and simple. No complicated choreography to master – just a clean straight up workout giving your body what it needs to build strength and endurance.
Cardio Mix: Mix up your cardio workouts with variety. Cardio refers to any activity that increases heart and breathing rates while using large muscle groups in a rhythmic fashion. In this class we will mix it up with floor and step cardio interval workouts, Zumba, and kickboxing. Get your heart pumping while enjoying variety and fun!
HIIT or MIIT: High or Medium intensity intervals fit the level from which you are working. You choose how fast, hard or heavy to go through intervals of strength and cardio exercises designed to improve your endurance and movement skills. Classes vary by timing, format and exercise choice to keep your body guessing and improving.
Kettlebells: All kettlebells all the time! We will teach you the ins and outs of the unique exercises available through the kettlebell’s odd shape. Your stabilizing muscles get a wake-up call as you alternate between periods of contraction and controlled relaxation, using your muscles in a way that mimics real-life activity demands. It’s a truly functional work-out that develops both strength and endurance, as well as movement skill.
Recharge –This class focuses on recovery movement for the body – whether you need recovery from a hard workout, stressful days or lack of movement. We focus on mindful movement (similar to yoga), conscious breathing, stretching and using recovery tools like foam rollers and balls to help you feel your best in mind and body.
Total Body Circuit – We set up a variety of stations targeting different functional movement skills such as balance, strength and aerobic endurance. You travel from station to station, switching every minute. You control the intensity at each station which makes this an excellent workout for all fitness levels. The variety keeps your heart rate up and helps to build bone density, strength and coordination. Let the energy of the class motivate you to do your personal best!
Yoga: Feel refreshed as you join us for some Yoga. As you flow through Yoga poses you will stimulate the nervous system, increase blood flow and develop coordination. Holding other poses and stretches can help to lengthen along fascial lines and increase range of motion. Tying our movement to our breath increases our ability to still our minds and focus on the present moment. What a great way to relax during the day!
